I've played a few games now, and wow the time it takes to produce *anything* is just too long even in Quick mode. The game moves too slowly as a result. I don't think there is anything wrong with game mechanics, but wow, they really should cut about 50% of the required resources for *everything* (from units to districts to research and civics) on Quick mode. It's just too much. I played 1 game, and it was nearly 12 hours, and didn't even get to the end.
If I'm playing Quick Mode it's because I want to be producing units, entering wars, winning/losing wars. Instead I'm stuck waiting for a single military unit which takes 40 minutes worth of turns to build, and I need another 10 to really go to war...
