Well, in this case TF did link to the thread, and he did say not to start another one, because there are others on the subject. So in this case, its is probably OK.
But of course, there was not much point in bumping it and then not making any additional points on the subject at hand.

No, there was not much point to bumping this, but since i was not allowed to start a new Poll for the "new" generation of poster to express their opinion about the status of the PC, I felt obligated to "bump" this one, so to speak. Of course, it is kinda pointless, since the above poll is the opinions of "older" posters, who are generally not here, or who just lurk. I like polls . . .
It has been hidden for a while. I hated it! I got my first 1000th post when it was hidden, so I didn't even notice. 
I really don't think the post count motivates people to post more often, psychologically thinking.

I don't even notice my own postcount, I just notice others. I actually usually only look at postcount if I don't recognize the person, or have not seen that person in a while. Postcount helps me put two and two togther.

And personally, I think that we should put the PC in your User CP. Seems like a better spot for it, because if people really care about your PC, they will look in your User CP. I really wish I could start a Fresh Poll on this though, the current poll is old, and is biased, since many "Older" posters who are not around anymore, or Lurk, have polled there view there. Oh well . . .

To put it more clearly, I can only 'see' two 'numbers' - those in the category above me, and those below.
E.g. I make no distinction between someone with a 1000 PC, or someone with 8000. Can't 'see' the difference.

Yes, and also untrue. I just checked and maybe one or two posters on the previous page don't post any more. Goober, believe it or not, many people registered here over a year ago and *still* post. 
Maybe he means that he can't see the 'new wave' of posters posting in it. Anyone here before 2004 is now "old skool"
