Here is a simple Mod that replaces America with the Firaxian Empire and also replaces FDR with the one and only Sid Meier. I just used the graphics from the tutorial and the awesome map from Rhye, so it's a pretty simple edit. I just like to help out where I can. :blush:

Nice!! They deserve this honor by creating such an excellent game.
I'd like to add the Firaxians as a regular civ in random games.

All you need now is to give em a few special abilities, a few new units and buildings and this mod would be el coolio :D
 
I agree RabidMonkeyMan, a complete Firaxian civ would be great!

And civs for CivFanatics, Apolyton, Evolution Games (CDG), etc would be cool to. Then we could have an epic style ISDG complete with personalized civs. I think it would be a blast!!

The Firaxian Pirate would be a great UU! Not a ship but an amphibious foot unit. And perhaps its unique ability is that it's creation allows the building of the Pirate Ship. A ship with limited movement, but which has the stealth ability of a submarine and can transport two Pirates. ?? And of course the Pirate would be resource dependent on Rum. :lol:

We could have Civfanatic UU be DGer's, replacing diplomats, or the Modder, replacing worker :D
 
I might have just loaded the mod wrong, but when I try to play it, it won't let me start a new game, only load. I put the sid earth folder in the mod folder, but something is still wrong. Can someone help?
 
Awesome mod I'm downloading immidiately when will the next version come out?

So does your power of "Necromancy" come with returning the original modder to the thread since he posted the mod almost a year ago and never replied to any of the posts in the thread?:confused:

Why, yes it does.
 
I love also the idea of unique nuke. I tested sum modding at the weekend and tried to make nuke a range (so you couldn´t shoot anywhere). I modified it bad and instead of having a nuke that maximum firing distance is 5 tiles I had a nuke which effective area is 5! :lol: That kind of "super nuke" would be just great for Firaxis... Maybe it´s only tech requirement should be "Knowledge of games", which is the free tech of Firaxis (of course unable for other civs to research). That way Firaxis would get at the start of every game super nukes making it completely unable to beat. :crazyeye: Or was this mod meant to be balanced? :p
