Sid Meier's Pirates! Coming to Macs

The 2004 version of Sid Meier's Pirates!, a Firaxis-designed game set in the Caribbean, is being ported to the Macintosh operating system and is set for an August 29th, 2008 release date. The company Feral Interactive is behind this effort and plans to convert other classic Windows games. In Pirates!, players rule the seas of the Caribbean, engaging in naval battles and sword-fighting duels in order to gain riches and power. You can view the website for this title here. I wonder if they have bothered to fix the bugs from the PC version in the Mac version.... I think Firaxis abandoned Pirates one or two patches too early, a shame as it is a nice game! And no excuse for doing so, if they didn't regard it well enough to support it properly they should never have released it in the first place.
