Depends on if you play PTW or vanilla. The games are still seperate, they just come in one package.

They should be patched to the highest level. If you're playing VC3, that would be 1.29. If you're playing PTW, that would be 1.27.

Check your main menu screen. On the bottom left side will be the version number. If you have either of the two above, you don't need to patch.
