SIMPLE C# Compilers

I want to learn C# so I can program in Unity, but I'm having troubles finding a nice, simple compiler: Visual Studio, I found, was too full of unnecessary bells and whistles for me to get started. Are there any compilers out there that just have the "write code, compile and run" functions, like Dev C++, but for C#?

Well Visual Studio isn't a compiler, it's an IDE.
