Simple Fix for 1UPT's Main Problem

i often delete units that can't move out of the way just so I can finish an attack in the same turn

c'mon.. the game lets you do just that ... Did you play civ V yet?

Yeah, it's in there. And as I stated in another thread, it's not obvious that you can do it. And apparently it has a bug where sometimes you get the red circle saying "no you can't do that" and sometimes you get the blue circle.

Hell, I see the red circle all the time when moving units around. The path finding algorithm seems to default to saying "no" and then takes a second or two before it says "oh, okay, yeah, you can do that". So go to move a unit to a tile, get the red circle. Wiggle the mouse and then it decides to change it to a blue circle.

So, if the UI sometimes lies to you, I'm not surprised that very few people have figured out that you can swap unit positions if they have enough movement points.

I think it would be simpler if you could just have two units next to each other swap tiles, providing they have the movement.

I find a good number of people ask for this...

If people spent half the time playing the game that they spend complaining, they would realize that this feature already exists...

Agreed, Scramble. With a bit of practice, troop placement doesn't bother me at all any more.

On a side note, I just realized this is the second thread I've given you props on (albeit the first one wasn't exactly CiV related). Did I just start stalking you by accident? I need to step up my game, get some more camo paint, a nice set of binoculars... maybe some chloroform.

Alternatively, you could just get a restraining order, or a high-powered assault rifle. :P

Path finding in this game is a bit off. In my games I have to hold down the right mouse for a second until the number of turn appears when I want to move a unit. Not sure if its intentionally or not.
