Single player set up defaults. How do you change them?

My defaults are continents, quick and chieftain. Three settings that I almost never play.

Is there a way to change this? It would be nice if I only had to change one or two settings when starting a new game, instead of having to select everything.

If I remember correctly, You should start game with settings you like without entering advanced options. At least this worked for me some time ago.

I cannot verify, but it may "keep" the last advanced setting. Once setup in advanced start a game. Close that out to menu and see if it keeps it. Other than that. I am not sure. I do know that if you go into advance though it changes back to it's own default. So you should only have to do it once, for the next time you go into advance, it will "add" it's defaults back in.

It doesn't keep the advanced settings - you must start a game with the advanced settings closed for it to remember anything. After that if you start a new game or go to setup it will show the last remembered settings.

There does seem to be one exception - if you choose the map type (even if it's not one of the basic map types), then close the advanced settings and start a game it will remember the map.

I really wish this could be fixed - the game should remember all the settings of the last game you started, including any advanced settings.
