Skip intro?

How do you skip the intro movie after the first time? Esc, Enter, mouse, nothing works.

Same problem here on Demo. Nothing works. Sometime after alt-tabing and pressing buttons like crazy it skips, sometimes not. I tried renaming intro movie and that just makes game crash on startup.

I just hit enter 2-3 times (after the movie started) and it skips.

If you're really looking to get rid of the video you can go in to
Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5

and open UserSettings.ini in a text editor and just change the line:

SkipIntroVideo = 0
to
SkipIntroVideo = 1

Don't forget to backup just in case, hope that helps!

I can stop the intro movie with the power of my mind. If I stare at it long enough, it goes away.

ESC works for me (in the demo). Btw, the intro movie is fantastic!

Oh yeah, intro is great! Just that I don't like watching the intro a hundred times when I play is all.

When I get into the demo, I have a regular Windows mouse cursor on the screen, and at that point nothing I do works to skip the intro. After spamming the escape key for a while, the cursor changes and then escape instantly skips the movie. I really have no idea what the conditions are to get the cursor to change and focus on the movie, but I expect it's something they'll patch since a lot of people are having issues with it.
