Cobalt_Blue
Chieftain
A mod to make each of the default map sizes 15% bigger.
Why?
Since the game launch, there have been some changes to map generation, especially Continents Plus, due to outcry about the blocky and unnatural look of the continents' shape.
This has been resolved by cutting chunks out of each continent to make it less uniform.
However, this has meant that each map is 10-20% smaller than at launch, and has resulted in some unfortunate side effects:
It may also be less necessary for other map types like archipelago, or on faster speeds where you have less time to settle, and I haven't studied those maps closely with this mod.

- Before: There was some land left to settle in homelands during Exploration
- After: There is almost never any land left in homelands
- Before: There was ample places to discover and settle in Distant Lands
- After: There is frequently no land left with treasure resources by the time Distant Lands are able to be settled.
- Before: A good number of independent nations could be found at all stages of the game
- After: Due to extreme cramping of space, there are fewer independent nations at all stages, and frequently none by the 3rd Age, rendering civs like Siam useless.
It may also be less necessary for other map types like archipelago, or on faster speeds where you have less time to settle, and I haven't studied those maps closely with this mod.
