I was wondering if anybody has seen this happen, it both pissed and impressed the hell out of me.

I was on a pangea, regent level with 5 total civ on a standard map. I was Babs in the NE corner, the Aztec were to my West, the Iroquies to the SW, the americans to the S, and finally the Zulus to the extreme east. (right off you can see it was full of hot heads).

Anyways, Aztecs had some fur and wine that I wanted so I built up some calvary, they only had pikemen and knights, and I took a couple of cities. The americans started to move troops N so I talked to them and I figured they needed a military outlet and I proposed an alliance against the Aztecs, they agreed, they needed to pass my territory to get to Aztec land so I also gave them a right of passage (BIG MISTAKE). The americans moved about 30 troops into my southern border. Amassed by two cities, and suddenly declared war!!!

I was so mad, I had my calvary force on the western front fighting the Aztecs, and these cities were a good 3 turns away!!! Add to that I thought they were relatively safe and I failed to upgrade their defensive units from spearman.

Ugg! I love this game :)

that rocks heh heh...

I've noticed the game is a little more sneaky in their dealings, and the world is more likely to beat up on someone big, or someone little.

I've only played one game all the way thru, but I am sufficiently impressed with the AI
