We're are researching WW1 in class. And this got me thinking, wouldnt it be cool to have a unit as a sniper. They would be virtually invisible to units except a special one but i cant think of it right now. They could only pick off leaders and infiltrate a city to perform a governor assassination. That might not work but its still a rough idea. Every time a unit passed over the square where its hiding, the would be a chance it would be discovered. This came about as i was thinking about the assassination that set the wheels in motion for a start of a war. Please tell me what you think.:sniper:

C3C has an assasin unit, in the scenarios, that is invisible to most units and can kill civ leader units. You can flag units as invisible w/ the editor, but I don't know how the AI will utilze it, could possibly be a huge exploit for the human player.

Now, about The Great War, which is far more interesting than WWII. WWII is the classic storyline, good v. evil.. The Great War was more about modern alliances, political trappings, new technologies, and technologies not quite ready for prime time, such as radio on the battlefield. I highly recommend this book: Storm of Steel by Ernst Junger = fantastic.

Ill check out that book. And do u know of any mac WW1 mods. I tried a civil war mod and it messed up my game so im reinstalling right now. I just read my other post and thanks.

I agree dojoboy, WWI is more interesting than WWII. Politicians had a large role in deciding the war's outcome. It was a war in which many new technologies were used/developed. Very interesting in the personalities of generals and soldiers as well.
