So... WHERE do I get the patch?

I go the CivIII support page and all I see is patches with

For US version only - incompatible with any European versions...

But... will that actually work on any English language version? I'm pretty sure I downloaded a patch that said something like that before, and it worked.

The patches are also hosted here at Civfanatics and they appear to be better organised than at the official site. I couldn't even find any version of the 1.22 patch at Firaxis when I was looking.
