Impressions?

Personally, I thought the story was excellent, but it was a little rushed near the end. The gore was excessive for me, I reduced the gore to "Minimal" in the options menu.

Also I found the game had a big problem with load times, 5 minutes to load a map you can walk through in 35 seconds? whats the deal with that?

Just another violent game, that doesn't even bring its 2 cents... blood and blood. It's so much exagerated that it almost become funny. And after that, there are always people who will accuse it (like Counterstrike in Germany) of making teens killers...

I just bought it today, and it's good. The random level generator was particularly welcome, and the AI is excellent.
It may just be 'another violent game', but it's up there with Max Payne, and I prefer it by far to the rather dated Half Life series. And besides, I'm no snob, I like Civ3 but I love this sort of thing too, and it'll keep me going until Deus Ex 2.
