I have been trying to configure Civ3 Air Units to use them like Civ2 Air Units, but I have run into some problems.
What I have done:
-Removed the Immobile ability (So they can move like regular ones).
-Removed the Rebase action (this was because I didn't lilke the units just teleported from air field to air field, I have them fly to them).
Drawbacks:
-Air Units' movements are subject to Terrain, Roads & Rail Road, altho they are set as "Air" realm. (don't know how to solve that)
-Air Units are instantly destroyed by ANY ground unit attack. (an Archer kills an F-15 instantly...LOL).
-AI doesn't seem to use or move the Air Units like other units. (I am guessing it's because the "Air" realm does not allow for an AI strategy of Offense or Defense.)
The Air Unit models look really cool when used like Civ2 ones, and I'd really appreciate some input from anyone who has figured out a way to use them in this way.
