Hi, just wanted to know two things. First, how does one zoom out in the Mac Civ III Editor and second, I tried downloading some of the custom-made maps posted on this website and none of them seem to open in the Editor. All I get is a vast expanse of ocean. Are they not compatible or am I doing something wrong? Anyways, any help would be appreciated. Thanks

1. AFAIK, can't.
2. Some of them may not work, especially if they are made for 1.29f/PTW. Only maps/scenarios made in 1.21 are compatible with our version of the game/our version of the editor.

In that case, anybody know where I can find any v.121 maps that I can download. Thanks

There are maps at Civ3.com that work. In fact, a lot of them do, because they were created back when the PC was patched to where we are now. Start on page 1 of the fan-made maps and work your way through.

is there a walkthru on how to create a map?

1. How do I create specific starting points for races? I generate map and it populates with a bunch of player starts, how do I assign who gets what?

2. How do you create modern specific resources (ie uranium, rubber?) I only get options to create stuff like horses and iron

1. Can't. Not in this version of the game/editor.

2. Just pick it like you do other resources. Click on the little wheat thingy in the menu bar. Click the appropriate resource. Make sure you place it on the appropriate type of terrain- you can't place rubber in desert for example, only forest and jungle. Same thing for pretty much all resources, just with different terrain.
