Some questions/requests

First I got to say that I have been really impressed with FfH 2, absolutely awesome mod... Then some little things that have come to my mind when i have been playing the FfH..

Though I have no experience in modding Civ 4, i have been wondering if it would be possible to add/alter an terrain improvement to the mod... That is adding sentry towers or such things that could be build. Or perhaps (imo better option) giving similar ability to forts as gained from the pre-game placed sentry tower 'resources'?

Other would be 'improveable' forts.. that is so that you could go from '+25% defense' (fort) to '+50% defence' (fortress) with large worker effort.

As said i have no experience in civ 4 modding... so i have no idea how difficult it would be to include any of the above in the mod...

Yeah, that was the origional intention of sentry towers (and the other planned fortification improvements). I once dreamed of hostile borders painted with defensive fortifcations and patroling guards. It isnt hard to add all of the improvements/terrain. The hard part is getting the AI to use them effectivly.

Reacting to appropriate terrain isnt to hard, but getting the AI to build them wisely is increibably difficult. When is the AI best served to build a farm instead of a wall, a tower instead of a cottage?
 
I see.. well i cant really remember having seen AI using forts in single player so i kinda envisioned the improvement for human players only (mainly for multi player).

The AI issue sounds kinda difficult though... close to borders (more on the 'unfriendly' borders), preferably on 'not useful' terrain (that is the terrain that is the most common within the city limits). Though its difficult to generalize with this which is probably why its so difficult...
