Some smaller custom maps (NOTE: I am a beginner)

I really like shaping terrain and creating a world in order to play it. I've had a lot of games in the game's own Europe map, since I really like the shape of Europe.
I also always wanted to play a game in Denmark but the only maps I could find were "Scandinavia" or "North Sea" maps, none with just Denmark. So I wanted to make my own as well.

So far I haven't made too many, but I've played them all through at least once and won them. I plan on making more maps and adding them as they are finished.

Abstract Denmark - my first map. I quickly realized the limitations of my artistic skills, so I decided to abandon realism in favor of what I thought would make a fun map. Bornholm is enormous, for example, while Funen and Zealand are mutated beyond recognition. 8-10 players would be about right for my tastes.

Abstract Denmark Small - downscaled and retouched version of the above map. I found that I had made the original one too big for my own tastes. I did a little redesigning of some of the map elements to make it better suited for the new size. 6 players seems appropriate for this one.

Snaky Pangaea - I think I'm better at making maps than I am at naming them. This is a very narrow and claustrophobic map - the thin isthmus-like terrain makes for some interesting battles. With 6 players and 6 city states I had a lot of fun.

Terra Nova 45 x 20 - Admittedly I haven't played this map yet. I am going to upload an updated version if I feel the need to fix anything after my first playthrough, which is right after I finish this thread. It's the same size (900 tiles) as the above map, so 6 players should be good. Edit: I played the map a bit, 6 players is indeed fine.

Let me know if I should keep posting maps or go die in a fire ;)

I wanted to play a map with two continents and an archipelago between. There are many things about the standard maps that I don't like, so I decided to make one.

North vs South - no start locations predetermined though. I just named it for the the shape. I think the limited routes of travel between the two continents will allow for some interesting naval battles. It's 20 tiles wide and 45 tiles tall for a total of 900 - the same total size as my past two maps. I'm thinking around 6 players or so - maybe just 4 players if you like a lot of city states.

I made a few maps for practice which aren't really worth sharing. I'm pretty proud of this one though. I didn't know what to call it, but I thought the area in the middle looked like, well...

Mutated Foot - Inspired by the northwestern area around Lane Onega, Finland. Plenty of straights to hold, fjords to defend, peninsulas to conquer and isthmuses to cross. I tried to make a map for my favorite type of combat - naval combat - without having a ton of tiny islands. I also wanted to make sure that no player would be left without mountains or desert. Don't knock it 'till you try it! 4-6 players recommended.
