Sound Skipping

I got the game today (in the UK) and it installed and loaded perfectly. Auto-configured to the highest quality settings but it was quite jerky so I lowered it to medium. All movies play perfectly but after a short while of playing, the sound (music in wonder movies) starts to skip badly.

I'm running a 3.2Ghz P4, 512Mb RAM (with 4Gb virtual) and an nVidia Geforce Go Fx5600 with the latest Omega drivers.

I was able to fix the sound skipping by installing the latest VIA 4in1 drivers for my mainboard. Strangely the Firaxis movie still skips, all others are fine. However
I had the skipping problem right from the start, so it might be a different issue than yours. I also noted that if you play the movies outside the game (Bink player, available at www.radgametools.com), they run without problem in maximum resolution. I'm thinking the bink library that comes with the game might have some problems.
