Space Race bug any fix working?

I had a game go up in smoke on this bug two days ago. I was playing a Sid game to see if I could get another massive AA stack attack. I was not able to get the Zulu to send their whole army at once, so never got more than 123 in any one stack.

So I decide to play out the game anyway. I took it all the way and still had two massive nation left. One in Modern age also another just getting into it and one lost nation in the IA.

I decide to launch and not mess with the nukes. It had been a few years I guess as I did not realize it did not work and the game crashed. No problem I will load it back up and switch the last part to the last wonder.

Brain fart time as that ended the game in a loss as a never before VC was triggered. I had never seen the Wonder win/loss. It turns out that after all wonders are build the one with the most wins.

Sweet, I turned a win into a loss in one move. I tried the two reported work a rounds, but no luck. What a way to go down after so much effort.

Anyone manage to get this to bypass? Is it the movie or something else?

please help, i am having the same problem where i build the last part to the space ship and then go to click the launch button. Doing this, i hear a sound and the screen goes black, it looks as though it locks up and then the game crashes.

please help

i have the original civ 3 along with conquests and the 1.29 patch

crap is this still happening? nobodies posted an answer in over 3 years? I haven't even played conquests yet but I sure hope this doesn't still happen

Probably b/c no one else had the problem or knew how to fix it. I know it works fine for me. This probably has something to do with the game changing resolutions when it starts the space race victory movie or something.
