Can you still build the space ship after the game ends in the year 2050?

Yes and No.

I find out the hard way.
I put all my resources to try to build the spaceship after the game ended. I was able to build the ship, but when I builded the last component I wasn't able to launch it.

So, yes you can build it, but no you can't launch it.
