Do you like spam? Do you enjoy receiving 50 junk emails everyday? Do you love those male organ enlargement and those invitations from monica or rachel for a webcam show? You'll be happy to learn on Spamhaus.org that the basta.. oops, spam king Eddy Marin, 41yo, can send 50 millions spam/day. This SOB..hem.. man, sorry, earned 750K dollars in 3 months thanks to his pron spam in year 2000.
So if someone is an outstanding counterstrike headshoter, spamhaus has his address.. ;)

PS: last month an Australian spammer was "caught" too. He bought some DNS in country like Pakistan, then used fake domains to send tons of spam. Thanks to the internet community, who gathered all the clues, they could find his identity and even his address, email etc... They flooded him with ****s too. Since that day, the man stopped spamming and switched to another job... That's a damn good news. Several thousands more to go :)

PS: btw, anyone has a good idea stopping spam? I get 50spam a day

Multiple email accounts, one for your friends/work colleagues and one singning up for things. Be careful with your 'good' account and you should be spam free.

I've got a Spam blocker, any mail from an address that isn't in my book, automatically goes to one of two folders, either "known spam" or "suspect email". Both of these boxes get automatically emptied once every 2 weeks. I can check the suspect email occasionally to see if there are any mails that I should let through.

No spam problem for me. :)

Actually I'm just worrying about one thing. If I use a spam killer, is there any risk, though, that a "good" email can be seen as junk and blacklisted? That could be quite annoying. And it would also mean you have still to have a look at all the trashed mails and check if there's no processing error.

My spamblocker came with my internet service (Earthlink). There isn't any big concern about "good" emails being seen as spam, since I can look at the "suspect Emails" any time that I want, and add the senders to my contact list if they are legit.

In addition, if an email gets put into the "suspect" lists the sender is sent a reply informing them that they have been blocked and that they can request to be added to my contact list by following a link.

yes :goodjob:

I get surprisingly few spam mails without having a special 'register'-account or spam-blocker. The best way is to never sign up at suspicious sites, but only sign up if you're confident about the site's seriousity. I used to sign up everywhere with my hotmail account, and in case I got a serious mail there, it was hardly detectable among all the spam.

I don't get to much spam (2-5 a day) due to my obscure email adress. Now stopping pop-ups, that would be something for me....
they make me so mad!

That helps, but even when I am not surfing the web, pop-ups come in, and start flooding my computer. EG., I am playing a relaxing game of Civ3, nuking my opponents, and some popups will pop up even though I am not surfing the web (eg. viagra and adult love lines). This gets very annoying when I play MOH:AA, since my graphics card isn't too good (SiS 640). Every time a popup comes up, the game minimizes and it can't restore due to the insufficient video memory. It annoys me greatly.
