Speaker/Sound Card help for Windows XP

I recently restored my machine and now the speakers won't work. I have downloaded the drivers. I have them plugged in right. What should I do to get them working?

Just more details, I have a Gateway GT4022 computer, with Windows XP Media Center Edition. I download the driver Gateway had on its site for it. I also have a SiS 7018 Audio Driver. Under drive status it says "This Device cannot start code 10"

I take it that you need to reinstall your sound card.

Hopefully you still have the disk with the drivers installer
