On, for sure.
It's nice to roughly know what to expect from your rivals. Besides, without the traits, all civs are exactly the same, which makes for a duller game experience IMO.

On for sure! IMHO, the special civ abilities are one of the great additions from II to III.

Definatly on! If not whats the point of picking your Civ?? Leaderhead? Color?? The different traits & UUs make this game great & unique every single time you play it.

I'm guessing Amon, the person who said "I do...=)"

Don't take Superslug personally Amon, he's just grumpy cause it's past his bedtime;)

When it's off, it's like CTP where the only difference is city names. That's no fun.

Wow, traits are one of the real additions to Civ3 over Civ2. It lost so much else, why limit what it adds? :ack:

I used to like to paly with them off, but that was when I TOTALLY sucked at the game. I couldn't keep up! :) I turned them back on a few weeks ago and it was the best decision I ever made. (Well, it's in the top 10 anyway...) It's more fun because you get the special units and can play to your strengths. Yes, there are definitely drawbacks (go away Montezuma! Nobody wants to fight you, dude!), but you get strengths too. Like, for example, if you play america, with civ-specific off, your workers work at the same speed. If civ-spec is on, they work twice as fast because america is industrious. Amon, turn those features back on, baby. It is way more fun this way. Trust me. The challenge is really fun. :)

Superevie :king:

Right on, Frollo. :)

ON, the only peple who may turn it off are peple who like Civ 2 more.

Always on, same reason, adds more to the game by making every civ unique.

Always on here.
