Civil engineer - to build a few improvements (temple or lib) in outlying cities, border expansion only.

My favourite is police officers. They keep the corruption down and they can also increase shield production because they limit corruption affecting shield loss. This is very important for cities that are on the outer reaches of your empire. Tax officers and Scientist are much better in Conquests than they were in Vanilla.

Entertainers.

I think the new introduced types are cool and nice, but it is awkward to set them.

If you hit a tile, your people switch back to entertainers. Switching them to civil engineers e.g. is a tedious task.

The Governor, I use Governors in the late game, does not use them at all, only taxmen and scientists.

I would like a better governor or a better way to reduce MicroManagement in Civ4. Till I get the two new specialists, I am usually so far in the game that they do not really matter at all... usually I go Commie if I have serious corruption problems.

I like Taxmen becasue of the boost to my economy. Im able to divert some income to happiness or to my treasury when I have many Tax Collectors.

I switch between policemen and engineers to have the best result every turn in term of shield/tax. Usually more policemen near palace and more engineer when cities are too corrupted.

On the whole, scientists - seeing they get used most (other than entertainers). Civil Engineers are great in the late-game, though.
