Im just doing some test game, trying out the missionaries.
Using a missionary spread ability, i see a text "+200 <my religion name>"

Doing this on cities with 3, 4 and 6 citizen, in each case 2 citizens were converted. So it seems 100 of this whatever = 1 citizen. Is this correct ? Is it a different amount with other religious units ?

However when i try a second time on the same city, there are still only 2 citizens of my religion. Can i not convert more than 2 ? Is that different with other religious units ?

After doing this with a bunch of cities, i see neighbouring cities starting to convert themselves. When i have a missionary selected, each city shows a circle representing the portion of its citizen following my religion. Some of these circles end in an arrow or double arrow. What does that exactly indicate and why is it not on all of them ? (most notably not on the one that has 2 out of 6 citizen of my religion and thus needs more...) I dont seem to see anywhere the amount of religious pressure that is excerted on a city like we did in civ5. Is this info not there or am i overlooking it ?

Thanks if anyone can enlighten me on this topic by answering those quesions and possibly providing aditional info.

We can only guess if it works like in CivV

@Browd is working on a guide and I'm gonna do some play testing to try and get to the bottom of it
@WackenOpenAir - great testing... we'll get there. Its just a matter of spending the time to work on it. Your approach is a great help

have a look at https://forums.civfanatics.com/threads/finding-my-religion.606648/ for the .xml values
When by kids get of the &^%$ computer I'll see if there is a .csv with any values

I'll keep posting in the referred to thread anything I find... Feel free to chip in, should be a team effort.

I noticed that if your missionary / apostle is wounded, you don't get a nice round 200 (or 220 if you have appropriate bonuses). I didn't pay attention to how many HP these wounded units have, but it looked like a flat reduction, not a percentage. What I mean is a unit that was 75%hp was still doing 160-180 religion spread, and a unit on about 5%hp was doing about 140-ish religion spread.

General observation relating to Religion mini-game (an epiphany??:))
I've found that using a pair of apostles works a treat. Proselytiser on one, they go first, then Translator on the second one, they hit immediately after. Presto, population 17 holy city is now following the divine church of kalathumpians instead of hinduism.
