I turned Mr. Nimoy off long before I got to that tech. I ought to try listening to him do that one sometime.

It's definitely worth hearing at least once...and maybe only once! I've had family members passing by when Mr. Nimoy was beeping, and they looked in the room and said, "What was that?!"

Yeah, Spock does a great job with the quotes...but the beeping is just down right creepy!
I am kinda upset now that the expansions are out that they had to go to someone else for new tech quote voiceovers. Nobody even knows who he is! He's probably one of the nameless crewmen from the Enterprise. (He'll be dead soon).

Well, Quayle's quote for the "Future Tech" ("Tomorrow, the world will be better") is as ludicrous as Sputnik's one is.

The first time I heard "Beep...beep...beep" I couldn't believe it...

Only a question: what about the "new quotes"? There will be any change of wuoations in the future, or it is a feature of BTS expansion? (I haven't bought BTS yet, so I don't know )

When I first time heard that, it first took some seconds to understand it (old, you know), but then lol... My wife happened to be near and she told me that "anything can't be so amusing" but I couldn't answer her because I was laughing so hard...

They probably couldn't afford to get Nimoy to quote these few new techs for BTS. (Now maybe if they made future techs or another expansion set in the future...), or maybe Nimoy was too busy to do the part?

Yes, I don't necessarily like Meier's voice as compared to the grand Nimoy, but it's better than nothing.

Perhaps they'll correct the voice of the quotes (change them with Nimoy's) in a patch sometime... (provided that Nimoy agrees to provide his voice for the quotes)
