This a normal PBEM, except that all players are probably quite familiar. :) This is the game:

Map: Standard size, random shape and land mass.
Climate: Normal, Temperate temp., 5 billion years old.
Barbs: roaming.

Players
1. Matrix: Straland (Scandinavia)
2. Grey Fox: Egypt
3. Col: Iroqious
4. munzy: Random
5. Chieftess: Ottomans
6. SunTzu: Random
7. WildFire444: Spain

But we haven't started yet!

Can't wait, hurry up! :D

Yea, eh, there's a little problem.
In a week or so, we'll start and then SunTzu will join as too. ;) So actually the Civs I've presented above aren't correct anymore as all (except gonzo and me) have random Civs. And we'll start again.

Sorry for the delay. :o

I'll be the Ottomans.

Mm - is gonzo still eligible ?

(if you see what I mean :) )

Noted. ;)

While waiting, do you have a preference for the map? I don't. :D

Only game settings: default settings (except culturally linked starting positions) and no AI.

Added: Yes, Col. :) Gonzo explicitly told me he'll still join this PBEM. And Munzy isn't staff member either...

First of all, he's a beta tester, so if he wants to, he's got have two Civ3's on his computer (one with beta version and one with 1.14). Secondly he has exams soon.

I know; poor excuses. :p

And cracker doesn't play because he finds PTW too erroneous.

Erroneous??? Strange choice of word.

Do Errikk, Anarres and I qualify as Torunament staff??

PTW is how the original Civ3 should have shipped in the first place. Erroneous is leaving the sentry command out of the game. Erroneous is having 16 civs when Civ2 had 21.

Anyways, sorry to interrupt. :D

And one more thing, this about TF being a beta tester, does that mean he is testing the patch that is to come out after v1.14? Like v1.23 or sumpin'?

Well Col, I guess you, anarres and ERIKK are half a staff member. But the more the merrier. :) You mention three names, so either you have to draw, or who first comes, goes...

I really don't consider myself staff in the slightest. I'm just trying to keep the tournament moving because I like it so much.

Have fun in the game, it should be fun to watch :)

Me neither.

Just watching with interest. If you need more players , drop me a line

Well, we do have two slots open. As long as you won't be the bottleneck in the progress of the game, you're welcome. ;)

Ok - I play preety hard core as Erikk would say.
Count me in

colinf_AT_btinternet.com
I'll play the Iriquouis - feel like some scalps ....

Something like that... Some beta testers have more than enough time on their hands to play atleast 1 turn... :mischief:

:sheep:

And when I go to:

Multiplayer->Change to Local Host->Play by Email->Mode:Load Game

I can't change the difficulty... :(

EDIT: Oh, I should change the difficulty BEFORE I load the game...

Well, I still don't know which difficulty to change to...

I'm comfortable with regent now. :) Monarch, maybe... but not alone.
