Is there anyone who hasn't fallen from heaven? I mean, if not, you could add it like you're adding hell (same mechanic)... Maybe after building the tower of mastery?

Actually, why is the game called fall from heaven?

Made me wonder aswell, seeing as there were historic eras before the start of the game...

Actually, why is the game called fall from heaven?

There are a few reasons I picked that name:

1. It does a good job of conveying the mods fantasy nature and the heavy religious angel/demon focus.

2. It refers to some significant events in the world history, most notably the angels expulsion from the true heaven where the one creator god waits to return and judge creation. That is probably the most obscure reason and I doubt its referenced anywhere publically outside of the history extract. Its why I tend to call the "heavens" in game vaults instead of heaven.

3. It also refers to the fall of Bhall that ended the age of magic and set the events of the Age of Ice (and therefor the Age of Rebirth) in order.

4. It refers to the events depicted in "Ice".

5. I like the name.

The next phase we start is "Fire", then "Shadow", then finally "Ice". I need all the stuff in "Light" (the current phase), "Fire" and "Shadow" before I can start on "Ice". But its probably to early to even call "Ice" in development, it is a feature list, and thats about it.

Nope. Every feature agreed upon in the global design for FfH2 was placed in one of the 4 phases. Nothing was pushed to a supposed "FfH3" so there are no plans for it. But thats so far down the road its not even worth considering.

By that point we may have a list of stuff we want to do that will justify another phase or FfH3. Or we may decide that we want to make an entirely new project on Civ4 or some other game engine.

One thing I know for sure I would like to keep the FfH team together. Even if Fall from Heaven 2 is a finished project I would like to continue to operate as a mod development team. Hopefully getting any team members who are interested jobs in the game industry. Or maybe making a commerical venture once a viable open-source/open-license gaming engine is available.

Or continue to grow our little hobby until FfH is so big that there is a bloated hollywood blockbuster staring Christopher Walken as Tebryn, The Rock as Basium, Danny DeVito as Arturus and Rosie O'Donnel as orc worker #17. You could get little plastic Typhoid Mary figures at McDonalds and plush Orthus's at the toy stores. Spinning off food brands based on each of the religions (Ashen Flakes cereal turns your milk dark red, Fellowship veggie burgers, Overlords prescription medicine for depression, hyper-activity and tempermental bowels, The Order diet foods, Kilmorphs Finest Beer).

You keep making mods and I'll follow you from game to game, I havn't played vanilla Civ and I only brought it for this. Just promise you'll make an easy way to see what you guys are up to.

The community can for sure come up with enough ideas for a FfH 3... You could spread out everything further, go into every little detail to make the game more and more interesting. Make a whole character progression system for units...

If you pull of another sequal ( or is it going to be in the same univere with diffrent people?) then you truely one of the alpha game developers. Not that many games are good anymore after the 3rd sequal (with the exception of civ of corse ). But im sure you all could successfully release another sequal.

Perhaps when NWN2 comes out, you will make a persistant world?? My friends and I have been designing one that I was actually considering incorperating some ideas from this mod.......that is.....if thats ok with you, and you aren't thinking of doing that yourself
