*technical problems mod causes. after mod is installed. weird graphics display after game switches between logo and intro cutscene. you should really set noIntroMovies to 1 in the ini file after installing this mod. I use a throttler on my computer so that could be it but its worth mentioning.
includes scenario between cyrus(persia) and huayna(inca)
1.in the scenario there are only two civilizations. each team starts with a standing army that has no maintenance costs as long as it stays in your city. this new unit is called a guard. if you upgrade the guard you will have to pay for maintenance cost.
changes not exclusive to the scenario
all civilizations start off with 4 technologies these are off the top off my head may not be completely accurate
cyrus liberalism paper technology from the original games
huayna pottery music technology from the original game
washington military tradition liberalism technology from the original game
bismarck military tradition philosophy technology from the original game
french music fission technology from the original game
greeks writing literature technology from the original game
romans the wheel engineering fishing the wheel
spain fishing mysticism bronze working sailing
arabia mathematics pottery the wheel mysticism
aztec mysticism hunting military tradition calendar
china agriculture mining paper
egypt the wheel agriculture mathematics bronze working mysticism
england fishing mining monarchy feudalism
india mysticism mining guilds compass
japan iron working paper the wheel fishing
africa the wheel mining pottery music
knowing what technologies you start off with and the technologies your opponent starts off with is very important for winning the game. similar to civilization revolution. in addition to starting off with 4 technologies. other changes have been made to the game. bronze and iron are no longer required to build units. there are also changes to the requirements for technologies and free technologies are given away for many more technologies. you can find these changes in the tech tree. a good rule of thumb though is technologies that allow other civilizations to notice you such as printing press music drama and literature now award free technologies. this does give players going for a cultural victory an advantage so if you want you can display cultural victory with this mod or you could make it the only victory condition or you could disable science and economic victories to balance it. with this mod any civilization can survive to the end of the game even if they are far behind their opponents although this does require a lot of skill. taking an opponents capital is much harder if your playing the included scenario. to create scenarios that follow this rule. enter worldbuilder and place guards wherever your cities culture extends in the game. do the same for your opponent.
