How long in hours does it last? And are there things like playing the game over and it actually being different?

Not sure how long it lasts but there's a lot to do in this game. The level of detail you have to pay attention to is a lot. This doesn't make it a bad game mind you, I just don't have the free time right now for something like this.

I suppose the game is replayable but if anyone has finished the game maybe they can answer better wrt replayability.

Replayability is good. Im about to beat the game for the 4th time. There are 3 bonus dungeons, 300 Battle Trophies, as well as the game having an excellent storyline.

My main game is over 60 hrs, bt you can beat the game in 30 if you are very good.

Is it more fun to try and do it near 30 instead of 60? or is it good so that you want to cherish it and enjoy playing it. What are all the cool things about playing it again? Bonues dungeons wouldn't keep me holding on for another go-around of 30+ hours, especially not 4.

I beat it in 30 hours, or finished the main storyline. However, the amount of bonus duntgeons are enormous. In my primary game, im almost at 70 hours at the final save before the strongest monster in the game: Freya. The amount of stuff you can do is immense, and the bonus dungeons are unique and fun. Believe me, there is alot to be had...

Another Square masterpiece.

I thought it's Enix...? Yeah, Square Enix, but originally Enix... :p

They have (and still do) make excellent games. The merger was quite a smart choice in my view. I love the Final Fantasy games from Squaresoft, and Enix, although not as highly known over in the states, have made some of the most popular games in Japan (I believe Squaresoft had always sold better in the States, while Enix took Japan. The merger aloud them to take both of the two major videogame markets).

May Square enix be around for a VERY long time.

Okaaaay, time to clear an instant misconception. The game was made by the developer tri-Ace. It was published first by Enix before the merger, and now by Square-Enix. Sorry, but that's about the hundredth time I've corrected that error. ^^;;;

And I've beaten the game twice thusfar. Heading into my third play, this one on universe. I'm so mastering the battle system before trying out the optional dungeons...those spidermechs still own me in battle...

I just started. I looks pretty good so far. I can tell it's going to take me forever to play. Sarevok, if you've got any battle hints, I'd be grateful. I'm still trying to get a feel for this battle system.

use the ability to move... That is the major thing to know.

BTW, "Spider mechs" are reffering to those things you meet on Moonbase right?

No, I can kill those pretty easily now. I mean the things in the Sphere Company. They're like the Takicodos of Satan...hit them a thousand times with +500 attack weapons including Increase MP Damage, and it still keeps throwing those missiles at me! And don't get me started on the machine gun...I have yet to be able to defeat more than one before almost getting killed.
