Start Near Each Other in Online Team Play

In multiplayer games, is there anyway to force our starting locations to be as close to each other as possible when generating the map?

I've tried looking for help online, but have not found a way to start together, except using the north vs south, east vs west map type. We really prefer to play Skirmish map type.
