Starting Games in different tech era's

Hi,

Is it possible to start multiplayer civ in a different technology era, e.g. industrial, modern etc. rather than starting with archers and spearmen all the time.

yes, you have to start a scenario, in ptw there is something like "middle age start" and "modern age start" etc.
