We know two other civs now, so stats are starting to become meaningful. I've seen other teams try to nail down exactly what their known opponents have by comparing demographics pages turn by turn. I'm not quite that dedicated, but do look at the graphs periodically.

As of turn 70:

GNP: Us, Loco, Aloha
MFG: Loco, Aloha, Us
Food: Us, Loco, Aloha
Power: Aloha, Us, Loco
Culture: Loco, Us, Aloha

We are researching faster, and have higher growth potential. Loco can produce things faster, and Aloha have more power. The power number is a combination of several factors, it's not straight up military. None of us has breakaway potential right now.

I think we're too much into the game to totally analyse it, but if someone wants to try, go ahead.

Can you post a pic? We could check how much it has risen.

Looks like about +12 last turn and 3-4 more this turn. Score went up last turn too so could it be a tech or a new civic. Considering that manufacturing and crops didn't change much I'd say it was a tile improvment.

I think it might have been a change from building worker/settler to building something else. They might have wanted to have the worker/settler fast, and then changed back to gold mines. Could that be right?

Maybe they are using the tactic wher you build settlers only from chopping by switching back and forth. If another dramatic change happens it would hint so...

Dutchfire's suggestion is also good. If their score increase by the equivalent of one pop and nine tiles within the next few turns I'd say we could be sure that they built a settler and switched back to gold mines.
