Status of Tholal and MNAI

Greetings all!

Apologies for my disappearance. I was intending my last release to be the final one. However, I was also planning on making a formal announcement, which I never got around to.

Browsed through the recent posts and see that I left my mod in a poor state (researching techs with units issue). (and yes, "A Moon”, I also find it kind of amusing that I left the mod in a similar broken state to the way that Kael left FFH2) . But, I would like to fix things up a bit and I do have some spare brainpower (if not a lot of spare time).

Unfortunately, I recently upgraded my computer and no longer have my development space ready. I do have a C compiler installed on an old laptop, but I’m not sure what state it’s in. I’ll see if I can get it running properly, work on updating the code and repository and then decide where to go from there.

I will try to respond to any posts and messages on these boards later tonight.

Thanks to everyone for the continued interest in the mod and an especially big thanks to Terkhen and lfgr for providing code fixes!

It would be good to have a final polished version. Especially as the successors appear to be more about adding features than about adding stability and improving AI - which was the hallmark of your mod.

It's great to have you back, and to know that your absence was caused by just technical problems :)

While things get back to an stable state, I could continuing helping with providing hotfixes for 2.62 if anything big comes up. lfgr created a repository to store some other fixes, so once that the MNAI repository is stable and ready to accept contributions again it would just be a matter of merging those changes into the main repository. As I stated in my other post, let me know if I can help with anything else.
