Just curious if it is possible to use cloud saves for this game? I am mostly playing on my crappy older computer but I occasionally get to use my boyfriend's fancy gaming laptop when he is not playing Stellaris, haha. I've been transferring saves with Dropbox but it would be great if I could just do it through Steam - I've never actually used cloud saves before but it doesn't look like it's enabled for Civ 6, or I just don't know how to set it up. Any tips?

Yeah but you need to link a 2k account

Sorry to bug you about this - I made my 2K account and linked it but I still don't see the little cloud icon in the Steam library. Do you know if I have to do anything else to set it up? Thanks!!

Once you have done that and you're in the game, test out a save and load game and see if you see a steam cloud option in one of those menus. That's where my friend saw it.

Once you create a 2K account, you'll get a small icon bottom right corner of the main menu screen where you can log into (and link) the account.

Oh!! I actually do see a "Cloud" option in the Load Game menu now, but there is nothing in it. So now I just have to figure out how to actually make my saves back up...

EDIT and I still do not see the little cloud icon on Steam itself.

I have no idea what "cloud icon" you're referring to, but all I did was link my 2K account, and when I went to save a game there was a checkbox for "Cloud" as a possible save location. And when I go to Load a game, there are checkboxes for "Cloud" and "Autosaves".

Oh, I'm an idiot. I thought it was supposed to automatically back up/sync my save folder but I probably have to actually manually save in that cloud folder for it to work. The cloud icon I'm referring to is on the Steam library (in list view) but it sounds like this one works differently. Thanks!!

Steam cloud saves actually helps to to save your game data on a remote storage system. There are Two different methods which help to utilize the Steam Cloud. 1st one is the Steam Cloud API and the 2nd one is the Steam Auto-Cloud. Sometimes we face conflict in Steam Cloud and its happen when team Cloud content doesn’t match with your local game files stored on your hard drive. So, you make sure data should be same to away from this kind of error.

when i save my games i always save to my computer and to the steam cloud, only takes a couple of extras seconds. And as stated above it's 2 separate saves but from the same screen. then when you load your game, pick which one you want to restore. i do this so I can restore my game from my desk top to my lap top if i'm traveling, and vice versa once I'm back home.
