So i downloaded Civ3 Complete off of steam (at $5 it was a good deal) because i lost my old civ3 disc (i have the ptw and conquests discs but cant install them obviously). Anyway, I have downloaded and redownloaded a few times and I get this error where there is no text at all on the starting screen and the editor barely works (i have to go though dozens of error messages before it opens up blank).
What do I have to do to make this work? It seems criminal that I paid for something that is broken.
Also, when using a Steam copy, is there anything special I have to do to use the no-raze exe? I used to just move the original exe and then rename the no-raze exe and move it to c/program files/infogrames/civ/conquests or whatever the exact file structure was. Where do I put it now? I'm unclear on how all this steam stuff works, like why it is a different structure and where the usual files are (and why they arent working)
If anyone could help me with either or both of these issues I would greatly appreciate it... i need to play Keroro's alexander update and El Justo's AoI updates...
