Steam Summer Sale, G&K (only) 10% off, rest of Civ5 50% off.

hi guys, need your advice. I own Civ V vanilla and am planning on snatching G&K in the next week.

Since G&K already comes with 8 new civs, do you think it's worth it to buy all the other CIV V DLC that's currently on sale? Thanks.

Good question.
Personally I'd get WOTAW (maybe in the combo-pack with Korea), but that's probably because I'm very used to the wonders.

As for the rest of the DLC: The maps aren't really worth it, so that leaves a few civs.
Check them out, see if you like something about them (ability/unit/scenario) that you'd want to buy them. If not, no harm done.
But the DLC aren't essential in any way (even the wonders), so you could just ignore them.

thanks anandus for sharing your experience, that actually helps a lot. :)

I never got the dlc civs but could not resist this I got every civ except for the inca, as I already have spain (it came with god and kings expansion) and I got the anchant wonders korea pack. These dlc civs along with the new civs from gods and kings are awsome. I also picked up 4 other games all this has only cost me around 35.00 I love this steam sale, should have enough games to keep me busy for the rest of the year.

With the 50% off, I got the only DLC is was missing (Inca/Spain). Still overpriced for anyone who has G&K as you're really only getting one civ (Inca).

G&K is back down to 10%, so I guess it was part of the flash deal after all, or only slightly longer. So either I'll be glad I picked it up when I did, or slightly annoyed when it's suddenly 33% off in the daily deals within a few days.

People should stop complaining about those DLC prices, there's nothing wrong with them considering the time you can spend playing with them. I remember years ago that I had to pay € 67,95 for Playstation 2 games, which was the lowest price for those that were recent. Some like The Sims were even over € 70,-. That includes games which you could have finished in day. Now that was expensive. I still find it a mystery how it is possible that the next generation is way cheaper.

Civ 5 75% Off for Friday 20 July Daily Deal.
G & K at 25% off right now 14:23 Eastern (was 10% off an hour ago)
Much of the DLC is 75% right now (was 50% off an hour ago)
No indication of how long that sale will be going on (many individual items say 33hrs and counting) . Check on 2K page in Steam store.
All the DLC & G&K for $34.75

I wish G&K was cheaper. It's dirt cheap on Amazon so why Steam can't put it on -75% for a moment at least :)

G&K is the only exception at 25% off.

I finally picked up a few of the new leader DLCs.

Thanks, I just finally got a Korea and wonders of the ancient world. Luckily enough it was a bundle and it only cost £1.11. Cheaper than a bottle of coke.
