Stereotypes of Gamers

What do you think about stereotypes of gamers? Are they unfair, or mostly correct? Do they piss you off, or amuse you? What do you think of middle-aged politicians and religious people who know nothing about computers proclaiming that gaming is evil?

Hoping for actual discussion here. Decided to post in the games section rather than OT, but moderators can move it if they want.

I think they tend to make too many threads.

I also think they tend not to use threads that have been designed for the purpose of not making too many threads.
