Aklar was visiting the Calcutta Zoo, the first known zoo in the word. He saw two friendly lions and proceeded to pet them. The lions liked Mr. Aklar.
Too bad the polar bears didnt. Seeing him petting the lions, two rabid polar bears bull rushed the bamboo bars and the screams of the devoured Aklar could be heard from miles away....
In is place ascends Maghib, Aklar's loyal and trustworthy assistant. Although close friends with the Aklar family, his ideas differ on many fronts. He hopes to be a nice change for an ever-changing world.

Orders: Grow education by building temples of learning thoughout the Kingdom.
Load troops on triemes and go to Formosa to settle it. Expand further north by the koreans, up the yangzee more and down the pacific coast each with 1/4 of the army.

All throughout the massive Chinese Kingdom the people were in mourning. Their leader and god-king Win, was dead. After a short transitionary period the Emperor's nephew Zhou was declared ruler of all of the Middle Kingdom. With the Chinese economy doing well and growing due to extensive internal trade the emperor felt it best to look outside the borders of his kingdom for glory. Already had the Chinese found out that the Koreans had sailed to far off islands to stake their claim on them. Zhou too wanted overseas lands to call his own. His explorers had broght back tales of islands off of the southern coast of his newly accuired lands. The large island known as Formosa would be a good place to start. He dispached a expedition there immediately. Of more pressing concern however was that the Chinese people, while clearly being the most important people in the world had little culture to call their own, in addition to their inabilty to pass on knowledge. These problems greatly troubled the Empeor. He decreed that a massive project of building temples, both for religious reasons but most importantly to act as places to store knowledge and pass it on to new generations. That would show the barbarian tribes who was boss.
