Stole a great work- where is it?

I had one of my spies successfully steal a great work from Japan but I don't see it in my gallery- is there a delay for travel? Is it "stored" somewhere else? Is it a bug?

Did you have an open slot where that Great Work can go? And before you answer, are you sure you know what kind of Great Work you stole?

Good point, the great work was metamorphosis which I assume would be a work of writing. I did have open writing slots.

Yes, that is a writing (by Ovid). Can you post a save file from just before your spy stole the Great Work?

I think you are misrecollecting what Great Work you were trying to steal. The first autosave says your spy will steal Fair Goldilocks (a Great Writing) in 1 turn. One turn later, the steal is successful and that Great Work appears in your amphitheater in Rio de Janeiro.
