Stop criticizing so much!!!

Ok, I haven't played CivIII, but since most of the people say everything is good except two things: no MP and the scenarios. That's disappointing, but I'm sure those features will come with a patch or an addon disk soon. But I don't think nobody should say that this game is just crap, or insult Firaxians. We already knew MP wouldn't be implented, so no surprise there.

The fact that there is no scenarios, or no possibility to create some now don't make the game a bad game!

I'm very impatient until I'll get this game, and I don't really like to see some lucky ones who have it insulting Firaxis.... Just play it as it is and have fun!!

BTW I'm not against criticism, I'm just against insulting others for nothing. I know the game isn't perfect, but it's been a long time I've seen a game reating so high on every review site.

I wouldn't say promising scenario support,
then not delivering without any explanation is "Nothing"!

I agree with you 100%, I have the game and have had my skull kicked in every time. But Im loving it.

Enjoy the product, if not take it back and get your money but shut up about it if you cant add constructive comments.

The scenario thing is my only quibble but I hope a expansion pack comes out soon (doesn't it always?)
Anyway, It's just I found the silent dropping of a great aspect

Iwill say sorry if I have offended the civilisation.Civilisation is my first computer game, I loved it so much,it is not that we all hate civ,we have dreamed so high of civ3.We all thought that civ2 will be the last version of civilisation upon seeing the company being sold here and there.We put so much hopes!IT IS GOOD U SEE PEOPLE COMPLAINING,IT SHOWS WE DO LOVE CIVILISATIONS!

Curt your 100% correct. What these 'kids' dont understand yet is that when we complain we want to make sure our voices are heard and other's like us dont buy this mistake of a game. It's not fully developed yet and Firaxis needs to do something about it fast. Multi-player support by far should have been part of the plans. Jesus Christ!! It's 2001 Sid not 1996!!!! It's that narrow-mindedness about certain developer's that really pisses me off.

I dont care if you guys complain, thats your right. I just think they should be somewhat insightful or helpful in improving the game. I think yours have been.

I suggest to everybody in the forum to do CONSTRUCTIVE COMMENTS about CivIII (by the way, "What was Sid smoking" is NOT a constructive comment). Suggest what should be added to the expansion CD instead of saying "What were they thinking" or something like that.

For reference sake, go back and take a look and see all the things that they fixed in the patches in Civ 2. I remember playing the game when it first came out, and the AI felt much different than it does in the now-definitive patched version. But every single person on this board couldn't wait to get their hands on this thing; if we have to wait three months for it to go from '90%' to '98%', I think nobody on here would complain...it's not like we pay for patches. And I'm glad that the developers worked on the game rather than test-driving MP or senarios.

Personally, I like Civ 3 better than Civ 2. It certainly fits my style of playing alot more (less emphasis on combat, more on civilization building.)

I have a 650 MHz Pentium III with 256 MB RAM and I was spending more time waiting than playing at 16 Civs on a Huge Earth map around 1250 AD. But then again, that's what you get when you're running 16 Civ's. The machines that we'll all have a year or two from now will probably make the between-turn waits far less. Until then, I'll be playing with 8 Civ's.

One of my complaints is that I wish each time you make technology advance, it showed you what new units, city improvements, and wonders you could build. Who knows, they might fix that in the patch as well...

I have a 233Mhz! I probebly shouldn't be playing it at all - It locks up every thirty minutes, and I can't run sound and music at the same time without really wierd results.
Anyhow, about the advancements, click on the advancement to bring up the Civilopedia entry. Of course, I don't have to worry about it - I've got the LE with the chart. You're right though, it would be neat if it brought it up there.
