Warlord
I'm not sure if it's a bug, and because it worked in my favor, I don't have the save.
Marathon game, continents, I'm playing Cyrus.
Montezuma declares war, and starts pouring over the border, with mainly chariots and jaguars.
The border is very wide, but his main force is concentrated in one point, through a jungle. I was caught unprepared, and only have 2-3 spearmen, 3-4 axemen a couple of horse archers and about 4 or 5 immortals.
He crosses the border with his first units (7-8 chariots and mabye 5 jaguars) and he stops on a jungle hill, 1 tile away from my border city (and 2 tiles from the border). I figure he wants to regroup, but... no... he continues to pour units in that tile, until they are a long list of Chariot(9)... etc... so... about 30 chariots and 15 jaguars, and a few others.
In the mean time I manage to come up with my own horde, but I'm waiting for catapults before taking on his army. at some point I think about attacking without catapults, or at least try to provoke him, by moving some units on a jungle hill next to him. I move about 3 crossbowmen, 4 spearmen, 5 axemen and 2 horse archers, and as soon as I do that, he attacks. he managed not to kill anything, and lose all but 3 units.
My question is why did he stop? My best guess is that if he moved on the forest spot near my town, he would have lost the defense bonus for the jaguars... but I had close to nothing compared to his force
well anyway... that's it. Is it normal behaviour?
