.... i battled my way though the chaotic middleages when i got optics... YAY... finally some ships that haves a CHANCE at surviving at dephts more than 6 feet :lol:

so my jurney began.... for 2 turns... because mother nature SPAMMED storms... EVERY WHERE!!!! WTH?... i could see 3-4 clear spots of ocean... rest of em was pure storms! ._.

Yeah, the storms seemed to be a good idea, but even Zappara removed them (in one of the hotfixes). Also Afforess has a great modmod called New Dawn (final version not available yet) which brings storms back to good old times.

The storms in the pure 2.8 version were not only p.i.t.a for sailing, but also slowed down the game performance significantly. That is why they became obsolete ;)
 
its just the fact that they are EVERYWHERE!

can't the developers decrease the numbers of storms?

I didn't remove them, I just tuned their growth rate value back to the RoM 2.71 value which means that storms do not grow so aggressively anymore. RoM 2.81 patch includes this change as well.

Yes, of course your are right. I just didn't express my thoughts precisely.

I think New Dawn has the feature which removes them. Hotfix (so as 2.81)
just brings things back to 2.71.
