Strange blue bars in opening cinematic...

I know it's not incredibly essential...but I'm anal about some things.

The problem is, in all of the opening movies at game startup...there are thick blue bars at the top and bottom of the screen. I have no idea what causes this, or wether it is even a part of the video itself...it would be entirely better if they were at least black bars. Blue stands out though...

Anyways, is there a way to change this?

Also, is there a way to externally view movie files in the game folder? Such as the victory condition cinematics, or the opening cinematic?

I've got that too....i really don't understand how the closed the version with that in the movies....

You can view the movies through BinkPlayer, a standalone app. You can get it from here http://www.radgametools.com/bnkdown.htm.

As for the blue bars on the top and bottom, it just sounds like you have set your monitor or some other setting on somekind of strange aspect ratio or resolution.

Thanks for the link to the video player. It's nice to actually see the win cinematics for once...for some strange reason, the victory movies always freeze in-game. The audio keeps going on, but the video just stops. Any idea for this?

And I can't imagine why my screen resolution would be anything strange. 1280x1024 seems pretty standard to me...and as for aspect ratio...can't think of how to even change that.
