Ok, I happend to notice this with my mod only just recently.

If I go to the Civilopedia, all water structures like the colossus, harbor, drydock, etc, are in the civilopedia but it doesn't show what it gives, the 3d model, or the history whatsoever...

So I did an XML compare of the building infos file entry of the colossus, and both are identical. In other words, there weren't any new XML parameters added for 1.61.

So, I then go into game and not load any mod and check to see if it is working there, but, of course it is!

So, now I have absolutely no idea what is actually causing this problem. So no way to fix it in my mod... :(

Is there anyone that has had this problem that knows exactly how to fix it?

I also haven't changed anything pertaining to the original water buildings, so that is definately not it. ;)

No offence, but I don't think he found that comment particularly useful... he just said he was checking them.

No he did NOT! He said:

That is the CIV4BuildingInfo.xml or whatever. I mean he should try and check the CIV4Textxxxx_pedia.xml text files or whatever (located in the /text folder). Not sure it will work, however it is worth a shot, as the problem seem very strange, and it has something to do with desciption not showing up etc.

I don't think it has anything to do with the civilopedia entries as that has to do with the history of that particular building, unit, etc.

The problem I am having is the area where it shows up. The only thing that appears is the button for that building. All the other info, what is gives, the 3d model, and history are not showing up.

So, I know it has nothing to do with that as I also replaced all the XML text files for my mod when the patch was released. I'll check the art defines files and compare those two, perhaps there is an additional parameter for those since the patch came out.

EDIT: Well I just checked the art files, and building class files, and there's no difference in either of them... So I am still at a loss.

Hum... I have the same problem with some units in my mod. I am searching for a solution ^_^.

good suggestions Lord Olleus and NiKG, but those are definately not the cause of this problem either.

I also replaced the python so that's not it.

And Olleus, the error logs won't tell me anything about this I am sure. This error only occurs in my mod. Everwhere else it is working just fine. This problem occured after installing the patches to begin with so reinstalling them won't help. In fact I had to reinstall the game cause my PC decided to lock up and crash and window got corrupted. So I had to reinstall everything.

I've looked high and low to try and figure out a resolution to this issue, and the only thing I can think of that might fix it is to redo my mod from scratch using the XML and Python files from the main game and adding stuff from there. Only problem is that would likely take me a whole month and well I don't have the time to devote to that right now. Maybe some time I will get around to it but untill then maybe someone will show up who has had this problem already and knows the solution. :)
