Strange SOund Problem

I for some reason can no longer hear the sound effects for my units for example, bombing, attacking, moving, ect..
I can hear the birds chirp, wolf howl, the noises the gam makes when clicking buttons but the units are very faint. I tried adjusting the computer and in game volume but the only way I can remotley hear my units is if everything is up to max volume, and when at max volume all other noise is excessivly loud. I have even tried adjusting my audio settings but still nothing. Any suggestions?

Seems like I had a similar problem about 3 years ago. I believe some of the sounds come primarily from the left speaker and the others from the right speaker. Make sure both are working properly and the connection between them is secure. If you have any control over the volume of the second speaker, try balancing them.
