Even deity i never trade tech because why trade when i can get it by demand tribute with money too. if they dont give to me automactily means i delcare and i steal from them and i force them to give in.

Ever heard of the "Chicken or the Egg" paradox? This is similar. If you were in a democracy (or republic), you could not demand anything. Not allowed. But since you are not developing good science, you put yourself in the position of having to "demand" it from others. That means you are playing catch-up at best, and will need to use the pointy end of your sword to keep from lagging in science. And those swords will be bloodied and destroyed along the way, because they are facing peers, not inferiors. Once you hit mid-game, in 40 turns you can have Stealth fighters cleaning up on musketeers, maybe riflemen, sometimes pikemen.

Of course, some players like Shadowdale, Smash, Cactus Pete, and my own dad just wipe the planet clean (or almost clean) of the enemy by about 1AD with triremes, crusaders, and knights. (...sigh..) I guess I'm going to try working on that (the Crusader/Knight strategy) soon myself, as I'd sure like 2,000 years to civilize the world instead of my usual 300-400, LOL.
