Well here I am Emperor of the Iroquois on a continent runing North/South with the Americans to the North and the Aztecs to the South. There are also several small islands to the East that I control.

The Americans have about 40% of the land. I have 50%. And the Aztecs have only 10% due a little argument we had about whos side of the fence some iorn was on.;)

My problem is that none of us can go any where until we get some better ships that can reach the other continents. So, what should i do until then other than bug my neighbors to heck?

I would say conquer the Aztecs while you can. I always find them to be a big headache the longer they hang around. Second, as Aabraxan says, start sending out ships east and west, and also follow the line of sea tiles as far east and west that you can.

Ya I've got the Aztecs down to two cites so the shouldnt be around too much longer.

Also I thought you could only move the ships along the coast, thats why i couldnt look for the other continent. But i could wrong.

Ship's can only be moved SAFELY on the coast (At the point in the game you are at). If you move a square at a time, the game will allow you to move into and stay on the dangerous sea and ocean squares. After that, there is a random chance that it will sink, but it may survive (Hence the term suicide galley or curragh).

If it's any consolation, I once spent ~400 years circling my continent, trying to make contact with someone . . . anyone, because I didn't know that you could move ships into unsafe water. Try using the number pad.

Thats what happened to me. Although I dont think I did it for 400 yrs.;)

Anyway, thanks for the help guys. Now hopefully it wont take me too long to find another continent.
