Succession Game Registry! - IMPORTANT!

grs2 - the roman legions - the rematch is looking a replacement player. We are not that far into the game, so you can easily catch up on what has already happened. The game is on emperor level and we will use legions only. Please read the variant rules before signing up, as they drastically change difficulty and play style.

Last try to get a fifth player...

:ninja: Sengoku: The code of honour :ninja:

It is a SG based on the C3C scenario and with very special rules concerning the usage of the daimyo. It also includes some competition between the players. Please join now!

Basically, enemy daimyos can only be attacked by artillery, daimyos and units with hidden nationality. Every civ has 5 daimyos.

Rooster full.

DH02-Dark Empire II, the Empire Strikes Back still has two more slots open. Emperor+ level experiance is a good idea.

After the defeat of the American Empire in DH01: Dark Empire, the survivors of Lincoln’s shattered hordes flee to a New World and, hopefully, new conquests.
God-Emperor Lincoln is lost, trapped somewhere on another world and in another time, leaving Brigadier General Benedict Arnold the defacto ruler of this new America.

VARIANT RULES:
DEFIANT (My Definition): We do not, under any circumstances, pay for a peace treaty. We are free to sign peace so long as the deal is straight up or if the enemy will pay even a single gold piece. We do not cave into demands, ever. We are allowed the options of making military alliances and signing ROP’s; however we may not pay for them.

EVIL EMPIRE: Representative governments are not permitted. While we may present the illusion of an elected ruler, this is just a propaganda tool. Slaves cannot be freed; I.E. disbanded, joined to a city, or sold back to their original owner. ‘Exploits’ that are not blatant programming holes are permitted. Game of the Month rules apply in this case, not Realms Beyond. That means that ship chaining is permitted. Furthermore, if it is to our benefit, we can break deals at any time. Just be sure to get the most mileage out of our reputation before breaking it.

MADE IN THE US of A: Captured artillery pieces are of an inferior quality, and should be sent to the nearest city and scrapped for raw materials as soon as possible. If a captured field gun fires defensively or something, that is acceptable as long as it was not an intentional move. All efforts must be made to scrap the inferior foreign products as soon as possible.

MANIFEST DESTINY: Diplomatic and Space-Race victories are disabled. We are not permitted to build transport ships (other than suicide galleys used solely to make contact) until the discovery of rocketry. We cannot send paratroopers, demand cities, or otherwise begin attacks on other continents until the F-15 is available. This is intended to force us to fight a modern war on a large scale without the ability to Spam bombers. Bonus points if we end up building Aegis Cruisers or Radar artillery.

What we learned from the last game:
-Don’t have your only decent city stuck on wonder production for most of the game when you are in what is effectively an AWE. Discuss with the team before beginning wonder construction in the early game.
-America sucks in AW. Oh well.

Sorry I haven't been able to figure out the whole linking thing yet.

Free spots in two SG's!

First one is Ank 08 - Flying Finns where we are heading well for a spaceship victory as the Finns, using Drifts Finnish Modpack.

Second one is Ank 07 - Plain Deity. After a lot of epic stuff and battles we are second in land area, and Egypt and the Otto's are in a big nuke war! :nuke: You'll have to check this. It's coool.

HNDY05c - Always War Sid – Play your way onto the team!

Another chapter in a series of Always War tiny continent maps by the Grumpy Old Men of Always War HNDY04-AWD|HNDY03-AWDG|HNDY02-AWE

Are you a fan of the Grumpy Old Men of War? Always wanted to play with those guys? Here’s your chance. The roster has one open spot that’s up for grabs. You don’t even need to be grumpy to enter, or old, or a man for that matter. :D You do have to like Always War.

Step 1: Pick a Civ, roll a start on a tiny map of your choosing, play 30 turns.
Step 2: Post a turn log, game save, and a screen shot.
Step 3: Optional – Include a shameless lobby effort (a.k.a. essay) telling us why your Civ, map type (age, temp) and start are the one we should pick. Humorous turn logs and essays are always appreciated.
Step 4: The original 5 members of GOMOAW will vote on the start we want to play, and if we pick your start, you are on the team. GOMOAW selections are final, and are open to ridicule, slander, libel, verbal and pictoral insults.

If handy is publicly humiliated by a total lack of interest from civfanatics, one of the team will roll a start.

FAQ
*Can I roll a bunch of starts until I get 6 cows on a river? YES
*Can I mod a map? NO – legit randomly generated game starts only.
*Does it have to be continents? YES – see other player options & fixed setting below.
*Does it have to be a tiny map? Yes – AW takes a long time. Tiny helps alleviate taking 10 hours to play 10 turns.
*Does it have to be Sid? Yes AWD tiny was too easy :mischief:
*What Civ – you pick one & convince us yours is best.
*Can I make fun of & denigrate handy’s play, typing, spelling or the end result of HNDY05a – NO, that must be done behind handy's back :)

C3C 1.22 Patch This is a Must.
Level: Sid
Variant: Always War :hammer:

AI Aggression: Player Option
Victory Condition: All must be enabled. We could lose to a UN vote [if we get that far ;) ] We’ll take a win any way we can get it, but conquest or domination are preferred.

Always War Boilerplate as we play it.
You may only trade when you first meet a civilization, and must declare war on the same turn after trading is complete. If you see a new AI unit, you must make contact & declare war that turn. Absolutely no GPT trades allowed. If you see a new face on F4, you are obligated to declare war that turn (after trading). Players must declare war if they are exploring and see AI units, but are not required to actually attack the units they come in contact with. No peace treaties, ever. You may check F4 as often as you like to spy on the AI's tech, resources, luxuries & city count. Only Greebley can authorize the building of embassies.

Discuss any move that seems exploitive before doing it with the team. Although there are not too many exploits available in AW, we’ll follow the forbidden blatant exploits banned by GOTM and RBCiv such as no "Free Wealth". Other normal game exploits such as "Baiting the AI" with an empty city to create a kill zone are an AW tradition and are allowed. Also, you ARE allowed to initially keep a city, move a settler to the same spot as the city, and then abandon and immediately resettle. This is considered an exploit in RBCiv rules, but is okay in our AW games. In addition if you need to build a city one square deeper into enemy territory just to move borders to steal a resource, go for it. We may keep or raze cities, and can keep slaves. You may whip at will, including captured cities or cities where all citizens are unhappy.

SG Stuff
You have 24 hours for an "I got it" and 72 to play. If you need a one day extension, then mention this before the 72 hours are up. Players can work out skips between themselves, just post a message to the thread. If you can't play within 72 total, switch places or ask for a skip. We will play 10 turns at first, and possibly fewer later (5) if the turns begin to take too long.

Lucky candle to light the way. Although it was not so lucky in HNDY05a. FWIW - it says Fast, not Fart luck.

I have started a game with the variant of No Optional Techs. No idea how it will play out, but the thread is HERE

EDIT: It took all of three hours, but the game is now FULL.

We have lost one player for sure, and more likely two in the Diety level "Bad Apple" game.

At this time, we are looking for one new player, but we may be looking for a second player soon.

Check in with us here: Bad Apple

I am creating a diety game on the WW2 pacific conquest as the Chinese. Looking for a total of 4 players, but if there are 5 talented or foolhearty players, we will not turn them away. The Game is Here

:ninja: Sengoku: The code of honour :ninja:

is looking for a replacement player. The game is based on the C3C scenario and uses a variant where there is a daimyo named after each player. The daimyo of another player cannot attack and enemy daimyo can be attacked only by bombardment, the player's daimyo (die with honor) or a unit without nationality (assassination).

We have just entered the second age so we are almost half way through the game.

There is some kind of competition between the players so, to be fair, a replacement would start with the average number of personal kills of the other players.
